I KNOW IT IN THE SKY COLOURED WITH FALLEN LEAVES
Minuto a Minuto

By: Francisco Garzón Céspedes*

I know it in the sky coloured with the fallen leaves of dawn
I know it in the fireflies of the bodies in bed
I know it in the routine-awakening murmurs
I know it in the close-by steps moving away
I know it in the well of eyes meeting again

I know it in the words and caresses
In the roofs and basements
In the walls and floors and ceilings
I know it once and again when falling and raising
Love exists reinventing itself on those who
Defenseless, surviving, lucky
Re-open it every morning
Re-opening themselves on the marks of their scars
